Located in the peaceful town of Kyotamaba-Cho, surrounded by the vast nature of the Tamba Highlands is where we craft our beloved spirits. Because of daily temperature difference between day and night on the Tamba Highlands, coupled with the deliciously sweet water from the Uewachi River, we are able to create our beautiful spirits. At Kyoto Miyako Distillery we use two different types of pot spills to distil our liquid to create whisky flavours that range in variety. Each bottle is ornamented with the Nishijin Ori label which was developed in Kyoto using the historically well-known silk fabric known for its soft touch, texture, and patterns that represents Japan.
